This is the first session your horse will have. During this time I will conduct a static and dynamic assessment, a range of motion assessment, take the horses full history and carry out a full body treatment

About me

I’m Tegan Chambers, an equine sports massage and rehab therapist. I graduated from ARU Writtle with a BSc (Hons) in Equine Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation, and since then I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of horses — from retired horses to riding school horses, privately owned horses to high-level dressage horses, and racehorses.

My background includes completing a Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Equine Management at Hartpury prior to beginning my degree, where I also gained experience on their equine therapy centre. I’ve continued to expand my industry experience by treating horses across different yards and disciplines.

My approach is tailored to each individual horse, focusing on improving mobility, reducing discomfort, and supporting overall performance and well-being. I’m deeply passionate about my work and fully invested in every horse I treat, whether they’re an older happy hacker or a high-level performance horse.

Testimonials

As a veterinarian, I’ve had the chance to work alongside Tegan for about 1 year and I consistently recommend her services to all my Equine clients. I’ve witnessed first hand how skilled and knowledgeable she is when it comes to sports therapy, but also have heard only wonderful things from the owners of horses she has treated.

Tegan has done outstanding work with my horses. They both absolutely adore her, and her calm, thoughtful approach helps them relax and truly benefit from their treatments. Although my horses have very different needs and challenges, Tegan has taken the time to understand each of them individually. The improvements have been clear in both their overall comfort and their performance.

I highly recommend Tegan as an equine sports therapist. From the very beginning, she took the time to truly get to know my horse as an individual, not just physically but also emotionally. My horse came to her carrying a lot of past trauma and disconnection from his body, and her work has been genuinely transformative. Through her calm, intuitive, and highly skilled approach, she has helped him feel more relaxed, and more connected within himself.

What I value most is how tailored her therapy is. She never uses a one-size-fits-all approach; every session is thoughtfully adapted to my horse’s specific needs on that day, taking into account his history, his sensitivities, and how he is presenting both mentally and physically.

The trust she has built with him is clear to see, in the changes in his movement, confidence, and overall wellbeing. I am incredibly grateful for the care and dedication she brings to her work.

I had the pleasure of working with Tegan, a young equine physiotherapist, and I can only highly recommend her.

She is absolutely fantastic — attentive, patient, and always available to listen and answer questions.

Tegan takes the time to truly understand each horse, explains clearly what she is doing and why, and tailors her approach to the specific needs of every horse. Her work is both professional and compassionate, creating a calm and trusting environment for the horses as well as their owners.

A real pleasure to work with someone so dedicated and passionate. I would not hesitate to call on her services again.
